Description:

Since the publication of the Agile Manifesto, Agile has been widely adopted within organizations. While Agile offers principles that facilitate value for organizations, participants find themselves amidst practices and policies that defy the means by which Agile renders value. Using Scrum as a guide, this talk will help individuals leverage principles, practices and values inherent to Agile and Scrum to make an impact even when the Agile environment around them is broken.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify and apply Scrum and Agile values to participation in an unideal Agile model.
  2. Review the underlying value and purpose of ceremonies and artifacts.
  3. Identify approaches and tactics for rendering value when ceremonies and artifacts are not formally used within an Agile model.
